Reference:

1. PLA-7500, T.S. Rausch (Susquehanna Nuclear, LLC) to U.S. NRC, "Request for Order Approving Indirect Transfer of Control, "dated June 29, 2016.

By letter dated June 29, 2016 (Reference 1) Susquehanna Nuclear, LLC (Susquehanna Nuclear) submitted an application for approval of Indirect Transfer of Control of the Operating Licenses for the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station (SSES), Units 1 and 2, and the general license for the SSES Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation, in accordance with Section 184 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, 10 CFR 50.80, and 10 CFR 72.50. In Section III.D of the Application, Susquehanna Nuclear stated that:

If, prior to the NRC's issuance of its consent to the Shareholder Transaction, it is determined that any changes to these managers or principal officers will occur prior to or at closing of the Shareholder transaction, Susquehanna Nuclear will timely notify the NRC of such determination.

Pursuant to that statement, Susquehanna Nuclear is notifying the NRC that Jon A. Franke, Site Vice President- Susquehanna, resigned his position as Site Vice President effective October 5, 2016. His responsibilities will be reallocated to other senior management personnel until his replacement is hired.

Additionally, please be advised of the following updates on the various approvals necessary to complete the Shareholder Transaction:

1. the New York Public Service Commission issued its necessary approval on September 19,' 2016;
2. the stockholders of Tal en Energy Corporation voted to approve the Shareholder Transaction on October 6, 2016; and
3. the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission issued its necessary approval on October 19, 2016.

Document Control Desk PLA-7538 The NRC is now the sole remaining regulatory approval necessary to complete the Shareholder Transaction.

There are no new regulatory commitments associated with this submittal.
