By letter PLA-6002 (Reference 1), PPL Susquehanna LLC (PPL) requested an amendment to Facility Operating Licenses NPF- 14 and NPF-22 and the Technical Specifications for the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station to increase the maximum authorized power level to 3952 megawatts thermal (MWt).

As a result of discussions with the Division of Operating Reactor Licensing, PPL is withdrawing the Reference 1 License Amendment Request (LAR) to revise the Standby Liquid Control portion of the LAR, which has now been requested in a separate LAR (Reference 2), and to address the issues resulting from completion of the acceptance review, described in a telecon with NRC staff on May 16, 2006.

Document Control Desk PLA-6066 PPL understands that, in response to this request for withdrawal, the NRC will document the results of the staff's acceptance review of the CPPU LAR, indicating areas for which additional detail is required for acceptance.
