U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Attention: Document Control Desk One White Flint North 11555 Rockville Pike Rockville, MD 20852-2738 South Texas Project Units I and 2 Docket Nos. STN 50-498 and STN 50-499 Organization Changes as Described in the Operations Quality Assurance Plan In accordance with the Operations Quality Assurance Plan, Chapter 2.0, Section 5.1.4, STP Nu6learlOperating Company (STPNOC) is required to make appropriate notification to the NRC within 30 days of implementing changes to the organizational elements. STPNOC is 'making changes jo the organization that will take effect in a planned, logical sequence over the next several iimonths. The following is a synopsis of those changes:

  • Safety & Quality Concerns organization reports directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer effective March 1, 2006
  • The title of the Vice President, Generation was changed to Site Vice President/Plant General Manager, effective March 16, 2006
  • The title of Vice President, Oversight will be changed to General Manager, Oversight and the Personal Safety Group will report to this position effective March 27, 2006
  • A new position will be created with the title General Manager, Alliances and Plant Investment effective June 1, 2006 This letter makes the notification required by the Operations Quality Assurance Plan and informs the NRC that STPNOC intends to submit one change to the Operations Quality Assurance Plan when all of these organizational changes are completed and in effect. These organization change7 do not represent -any reduction in commitment and do not reduce any 'element of or responsibilities for implementation of the QA program in accordance 'with 10CFR50.54(a)(3).
