COMPANY NL-15-1096 Follow-up Letter Regarding Submittal of the lnservice Testing Program Relief Requests and Alternatives for Pumps and Valves-Fifth Ten-Year Interval Ladies and Gentlemen:
By letter dated May 4, 2015, Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC) requested Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) approval of various relief requests and alternatives for Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant (HNP) Units 1 and 2 (SNC letter NL-15-0784}. These relief requests and alternatives are applicable to the Fifth Ten-Year lntervallnservice Testing Program which will start on January 1, 2016.
Upon further consideration, SNC no longer requests NRC approval of RR-V-3. In addition, SNC would like to request that NRC approval of RR-P-3 be granted pursuant to 10 CFR 50.55a(z)(1) instead of 10 CFR 50.55a(z)(2). Lastly, SNC requests NRC approval of RR-V-10 pursuant to 10 CFR 50.55a(z)(1}.
