In Reference 1, Louisiana Energy Services, LLC, also dba Urenco USA (UUSA), requests regulatory exemptions to 10 CFR 71.17 for the domestic transportation of uranium hexafluoride (UF6), enriched to greater than 5, but less than 10, weight percent (wt.%) uranium-235, utilizing 30B cylinders within certified DN30 transportation packages. In connection with the review of the UUSA material submittal, NRC requested additional information (RAI) via Reference 2 and UUSA responses were submitted by Reference 3. Subsequently, a clarification call was held with NRC on January 14, 2026 regarding the analysis supporting the UUSA criticality evaluation. and 3 provide the requested revised calculation and the requested UUSA validation report. Enclosure 2 and 3 contain proprietary information and should be withheld from release to the public in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390. An affidavit supporting this request is provided by.
