EXTENSION TO HIGHER EXPOSURE, TOPICAL REPORT (EPID L-2025-TOP-0013)
Dear Ms. Elliott:
By letter dated April 7, 2025 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Package Accession No. ML25094A181), Framatome Inc. submitted Topical Report (TR) BAW-10247, Revision 0, Supplement 3P, Revision 0, Realistic Thermal-Mechanical Fuel Rod Methodology for Boiling Water Reactors Supplement 3: Extension to Higher Exposures, for U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) review and approval. The NRC staff accepted the TR for review on May 8, 2025 (ML25121A089) and provided an initial review schedule. The NRC staff is revising the current review schedule to account for the delay in the response to Request for Additional Information (RAI)-11050.
The revised dates for the completion of the draft and final Safety Evaluation (SE) will be August 5 and September 30, 2026, respectively based on a planned RAI response of May 8, 2026. These revised dates assume that the RAI response, resolution of technical issues, and proprietary review of the draft SE will be done in a timely manner. This revised schedule was discussed and agreed upon with Alan Meginnis of Framatome. The revised schedule is provided in the enclosure.
