NRC Consultation with Commonwealth of Pennsylvania re. Proposed NSHC for Limerick Generating Station, Units 1 and 2 License Amendment Request Date:
Wednesday, March 12, 2025 8:08:00 AM
Dear Dave Lafleur,
As a follow-up to our phone call today, in accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 50.91(b), I am seeking any comments you may have on the Nuclear Regulatory Commissions proposed no significant hazards consideration for a license amendment request submitted by Constellation Energy Generation, LLC (the licensee) for the Limerick Generating Station, Units 1 and 2.
Please reply to this email if the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has comments on the proposed no significant hazards consideration for the following license amendment request: Limerick Generating Station, Units 1 and 2 - Modification to Technical Specification 3.6.1.2 and Main Stem Isolation Valve Leakage Requirements (NRC Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)
Accession Nos. ML24241A195 and ML24299A264).
The proposed amendment would modify the technical specifications (TSs) regarding the main steam isolation valve (MSIV) system leakage rate requirements. Currently, the TSs require verification of the leak rate through each MSIV. This amendment would change the local leak rate testing to verify leak rates through each main steam line. The amendment also includes editorial changes for expired footnotes.
The proposed no significant hazards consideration for this amendment request was published in the Federal Register on December 23, 2024 ([89 FR 104571, ML24325A364] provided in the listserv email, which you can sign up for at https://www.nrc.gov/public-involve/listserver/plants-by-region.html).
Your response is requested by March 26, 2025. If you have any questions, please call me at (301) 415-0805 or respond to this email.
Documents with ADAMS Accession numbers can be found at: https://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html
