OF PRE-SUBMITTAL ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW MEETING (DOCKET NUMBER: 50-261)

By letter dated March 24, 2023 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) ML23083B312), Duke Energy Progress, LLC (Duke, the applicant), submitted a letter of intent to submit a subsequent license renewal (SLR) application for H. B. Robinson Steam Electric Plant, Unit 2 (Robinson).
On February 4, 2025, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC, or the staff) held a public meeting with Duke to discuss the expected content of the upcoming submittal of their SLR application and accompanying environmental report for Robinson. The focus of this meeting was on the environmental review. The meeting notice and agenda for the environmental meeting is available at ML25034A248. The slides for the staff presentation are available in ADAMS at ML25034A175. Duke provided its environmental presentation involving Robinson, which is available in ADAMS under ML25034A168. The staff discussed the NRCs review process, and the applicant discussed relevant environmental issues related to their SLR application. No members of the public provided comments or asked questions.
