Dear Ashley Morris:

This correspondence is regarding your submittal dated July 10, 2024 (ML24282B045),

which was received by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) on September 27, 2024, and requested NRC approval of proposed changes to the Nuclear Fuel Services, Inc.

(NFS) Site Security Training and Qualification Plan, Revision 010 (24X-24-0013). The NRC staffs review of your submittal has identified that additional information is needed before final action can be taken.

The additional information, specified by the two requests for information (RAIs) in the attachment to this email, should be provided by January 20, 2025. The RAIs are not publicly available because of their security-related designation. The attachment is encrypted via password, which will be provided via separate email.

Pending your response, we anticipate completing our review by March 31, 2025. This date could change depending on the findings of our technical review, urgent assignments, or other factors. We will promptly communicate any significant changes to this schedule.

In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 2.390 of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this letter will be available for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR) or electronically from the Publicly Available Records System component of the NRCs Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS). The PDR is currently open Monday-Friday by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, you may submit your request to the PDR via email at PDR.Resource@nrc.gov or call 1-800-397-4209 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. (EST), Monday through Friday, except Federal holidays.
