Response to NuScale Topical Report Audit Question Question Number: A-NonLOCA.LTR-38 Receipt Date: 05/06/2024 Question:

Please submit or provide a summary of DHRS scaling analyses from the following three supporting documents for the Non-LOCA TR:

1.

ER-126485 Rev. 0, NRELAP5 Applicability to NPM-20 Non-LOCA Analysis, and 2.

EE-107403 Rev. 2, NIST-2 SG-DHRS IET Pretest Predictions and Scaling Analyses.

3.

EC-127301, NIST-2 Non-LOCA IET Data Evaluation and NRELAP5 Assessment R2.

Please provide proposed markups to the TR to include a summary of this information.

Response

Each of the three documents identified in the audit question has previously been provided in the electronic reading room (eRR). A summary of the DHRS scaling analyses, including markups to the topical report, was included in the NuScale response to the NRC request for supplemental information 17 (RSI-17), submitted under the following:

NuScale letter LO-145424, NuScale Power, LLC Submittal of Responses to NRC RSIs on Topical Report Methodology for the Determination of the Onset of Density Wave Oscillations (DWO), TR-131981, Revision 0, dated July 14, 2023, available in ADAMS at ML23195A091.

No changes to the SDAA are necessary.
