Response to NuScale Topical Report Audit Question Question Number: A-NonLOCA.LTR-2 Receipt Date: 03/27/2023 Question:

The non-LOCA LTR is missing sufficient detail regarding the CFD simulations performed for primary side heat transfer in Section 5.3.6. Examples of information that will be needed for the review include boundary conditions, mesh sensitivity and parameters, initial conditions, and all other physical models used as inputs aside from the heat transfer models that are provided.

Response

The requested detailed information regarding the CFD simulations performed for Section 5.3.6 is found in the supporting calculation EC-109948, Revision 0. The calculation EC-109948 has been provided for review in the Electronic Reading Room.

Section 5.3.6 of the topical report is revised to include additional information summarized from EC-109948.
