Change In Estimated Review Schedule for Constellations Limerick License Amendment and Exemption Requests for Support of Digital Modernization Project Installation (EPIDs L-2023-LLA-0025 and L-2023-LLE-0005)

Date: Thursday, June 20, 2024 4:09:00 PM

Hello Frank and Ashley,

By application dated February 17, 2023, as supplemented by letters dated July 21, 2023, July 31, 2023, August 16, 2023, October 19, 2023, April 18, 2024, and May 28, 2024 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession Nos.

ML23052A023, ML23202A219, ML23212B105, ML23228A094, ML23292A074, ML24109A070 and ML24149A211, respectively), Constellation Energy Generation, LLC (Constellation) submitted license amendment and exemption requests for Limerick Generating Station, Units 1 and 2. The purpose of this email is to inform Constellation of the new estimated completion date for both requests.

In the letter dated April 18, 2024, Constellation asked the NRC to delay completion of the requests until a later date to allow time for Constellation to update the requests. In the letter dated May 28, 2024, Constellation submitted updates to the requests. The NRC staff has resumed review of the license amendment and exemption requests.

The new estimated completion date for both requests is September 13, 2024. This estimate could change due to several factors such as requests for additional information and an unanticipated addition of scope to the review. If there are emergent complexities or challenges in our review that would result in a change to the estimated completion date, the reasons for the change, and a revised estimate will be communicated during routine interactions with the assigned project manager.

If you have any questions, please contact Michael Marshall, the assigned project manager, at Michael.Marshall@nrc.gov or (301) 415-2871.

Best Regards, Michael L. Marshall, Jr.
