Table 5.2-1 lists Code Case N-883, which is conditioned in RG 1.84 to not be used by a holder of a standard design approval. LO-137055 indicated that a proposed alternative to use N-883 was withdrawn and that a revised submission was anticipated. Please provide a status of the applicant's potential plans for use of this Code Case in light of the letter and the conditions in RG 1.84.
Response
Per LO-137055, American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Code Case N-883 is removed from Table 5.2-1. NuScales Standard Design Approval Application does not use ASME Code Case N-883, and it is deleted from Table 5.2-1 as shown in the attached Final Safety Analysis Report markup.
