RIVER BEND STATION - ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RESPONSE TO NRC INSPECTION REPORT 05000458/2023001 AND DISPUTED NON-CITED VIOLATION
Dear Phil Hansett:
This letter acknowledges your May 25, 2023, correspondence (Agencywide Document and Access Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML23145A266) sent in response to U.S. NRC Inspection Report 05000458/2023001 (ML23116A235) dated May 1, 2023.
In your letter, you dispute one non-cited violation (NCV 05000458/2023001-05) associated with not obtaining a license amendment prior to implementing a proposed change which resulted in a departure from a method of evaluation described in the updated safety analysis report used in establishing the design basis. The NRC is currently reviewing your basis for contesting the violation in accordance with Section 2.8 of the Enforcement Manual. Accordingly, we will provide the results of our evaluation by written response within 90 days of the receipt of your May 25, 2023, letter.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390, Agency Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter will be made available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or in the NRCs ADAMS, accessible from the NRCs website at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
