OFFICIAL USE ONLY - SECURITY-RELATED INFORMATION NRC FORM 374 Page 1 of 2 U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION MATERIALS LICENSE Pursuant to the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, the Energy Reorganization Act of 1974 (Public Law 93-438), and Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, Chapter I, Parts 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 39, 40, and 70, and in reliance on statements and representations heretofore made by the licensee, a license is hereby issued authorizing the licensee to receive, acquire, possess, and transfer byproduct, source, and special nuclear material designated below; to use such material for the purpose(s) and at the place(s) designated below; to deliver or transfer such material to persons authorized to receive it in accordance with the regulations of the applicable Part(s). This license shall be deemed to contain the conditions specified in Section 183 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, and is subject to all applicable rules, regulations, and orders of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission now or hereafter in effect and to any conditions specified below.

  • Licensee may possess and use any combination of the material, C and D such that the total number of items is 3 or less.
9. Authorized use: For use in accordance with the statements, representations, and conditions specified in the licensees application dated November 24, 2021, request for additional information responses and supplements dated May 26, 2022, September 22, 2022, October 4, 2022 and November 17, 2022.
10. Authorized place of use: Sensor Concepts & Applications, Inc.s, facility located in Glen Arm, Maryland.
11. Authorized place of storage: Sensor Concepts & Applications, Inc.s, warehouse located at their facility in Glen Arm, Maryland.
12. The licensee is hereby exempted from the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations 70.24 to maintain a criticality accident alarm system for the authorized activities.

13. Contamination guidelines shall be established for unrestricted release of contaminated material and equipment that are no greater than those identified in the Branch Technical Position, Guidelines for Decontamination of Facilities and Equipment Prior to Release for Unrestricted Use or Termination of Licenses for Byproduct, Source, or Special Nuclear Material, April 1993.
14. Leak tests of special nuclear material sources will be performed consistent with applicable U.S, Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) branch technical positions issued in April 1993, License Condition for Leak-Testing Sealed Uranium Sources, or License Condition for Leak-Testing Sealed Plutonium Sources.
15. When working at temporary job sites of licensees in possession of the materials identified on this license, SCA Authorized Users and Staff will follow the radiation protection and licensing requirements specific to the site they are working.
