DUWP Operating Experience Report FY 2022 The Decommissioning, Uranium Recovery, and Waste Programs (DUWP) operating experience (OpE) assessment is designed to support technical and licensing staff, inspectors, and management by providing insights that can inform future inspections and licensing reviews. The purpose of the annual report (see Enclosures) is to provide an analysis that identifies trends in operational data and to make recommendations to improve our decommissioning, uranium recovery and low-level waste programs.
The purpose of the Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards (NMSS) OpE Program is to systematically review operating experience with regard to licensed material, assess its significance, provide timely and effective communication to stakeholders, and apply the lessons learned to regulatory decisions and programs.
