Good morning, The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is finalizing license amendments for Sequoyah Nuclear Plant, Units 1 & 2. In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 50.91(b), I am notifying you of the proposed issuance of these amendments.

Please reply within 1 week if the State of Tennessee has comments on the following licensing action submitted to the NRC by Tennessee Valley Authority (the licensee): Application to Modify the Sequoyah Nuclear Plant, Unit 1 and Unit 2, Technical Specification Table 3.3.1-1, Reactor Trip System Instrumentation dated August 5, 2021 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML21217A174), and w s supplemented April 28, 2022 (ML22118A496), May 13, 2022 (ML21302A238), and July 1, 2022 (ML22182A390).

The proposed changes would revise the Sequoyah Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2 technical specifications requirements to permit the use of risk-informed completion times in accordance with Technical Specifications Task Force (TSTF) Traveler, TSTF-505, Revision 2, Provide Risk-Informed Extended Completion Times-RITSTF [Risk-Informed TSTF] Initiative 4b, dated July 2, 2018 (ML18183A493).

The associated proposed no significant hazards consideration for this amendment request was published in the Federal Register on October 5, 2021 (86 FR 55013).
