By letter dated December7, 2020, Westinghouse Electric Company (Westinghouse) submitted to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Westinghouse Topical Report (TR) WCAP-18124-NP-A, Revision 0, Supplement 1-P and WCAP-18124-NP-A, Revision 0, Supplement 1-NP, Fluence Determination with RAPTOR-M3G and FERRET -

Supplement for Extended Beltline Materials, (Proprietary/Non-proprietary), which is a supplement to the NRC-approved Westinghouse TR WCAP-18124-NP-A, Fluence Determination with RAPTOR-M3G and FERRET. Based on its review of the information submitted in the TR, the NRC staff finds the TR acceptable for referencing subject to the limitations specified in the TR, and in the NRC safety evaluation (SE).

A copy of the draft SE has been placed in the box.com folder. James Smith, Westinghouse, has been given access to the folder. The draft SE is being provided for a proprietary information review.

Pursuant to Section 2.390 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR), we have determined that the draft SE may contain proprietary information. If you believe that any information in the draft SE is proprietary, please identify such information line-by-line and define the basis pursuant to the criteria of 10 CFR 2.390. Use bold brackets and yellow highlight to identify any [proprietary information].

Your response must be via a letter from an authorized individual. The final SE will be issued after making any necessary changes.

Note that at this stage of the process, the NRC staff has completed its review of the submitted information and will not entertain technical arguments. The staff conclusions and conditions will not change unless new information is provided on the docket that was not available during our review. If Westinghouse would like to discuss the draft SE in detail, we can do that in a noticed meeting.

Draft SE has been placed in ADAMS. The draft SE was made an Official Agency Record and declared as nonpublic because it may contain proprietary information. This email will be placed into ADAMS, made an Official Agency Record and declared public.
