OF THE JUNE 4, 2021, CLOSED MEETING BETWEEN X ENERGY, LLC AND NRC STAFF REGARDING SUBMITTAL OF XE-100 TOPICAL REPORT: TRISO-X PEBBLE FUEL QUALIFICATION METHODOLOGY (EPID NO. L-2021-TOP-0011)

On June 4, 2021, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held a closed video conference meeting with X Energy, LLC (X-energy) to provide the NRC staff with an overview of XE00-R-R1ZZ-RDZZ-L-000633, Revision 1 of Xe-100 Topical Report: TRISO-X Pebble Fuel Qualification Methodology (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Package Accession No. ML21120A332). Participants included personnel from X-energy.

The public meeting notice, dated May 25, 2021, can be found in the NRCs ADAMS under Accession No. ML21145A101. The list of attendees is provided as an enclosure to this memo.

The NRC staff began the meeting with an introduction and pertaining logistical information.

During the meeting, X-energy representatives provided the NRC staff with an overview of the topical report. The presentation was followed by an open discussion between the participants to discuss certain aspects of the report that required clarification. Finally, the X-energy representatives and the NRC staff discussed next steps in the review of the topical report.
