SUMMARY
OF SEPTEMBER 2, 2021 NON-PUBLIC CLOSED MEETING WITH EXELON GENERATION COMPANY, LLC REGARDING PROPRIETARY INFORMATION MARKING IN THE LICENSE AMENDMENT REQUEST ASSOCIATED WITH TRANSITION TO NEW FUEL AT LASALLE COUNTY STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 (EPID L-2021-LLA-0124)
On September 2, 2021, a closed meeting was held between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff and representatives of Exelon Generation Company, LLC (Exelon, the licensee). The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the proprietary information marking in the license amendment requests for LaSalle County Station, Units 1 and 2 (LaSalle), regarding new Global Nuclear Fuels - America, LLC (GNF) 3 fuel storage vault and spent fuel pool criticality methodologies and changes to Technical Specifications 4.3.1 and 5.6.5.
The meeting notice and agenda dated August 20, 2021, are available in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) at Accession No. ML21232A122.

Exelon Presentation This was a follow-up to the previous non-public telephone discussion with the NRC staff on August 4, 2021, which was not noticed, where the proprietary markings were initially discussed.
For the purpose of the discussions in this meeting, Exelon provided an informal document on August 31, 2021, with the proposed revisions to the proprietary markings related to the license amendment request (A password protected Proprietary Document, submitted by letter dated October 14, 2021, Non-Public, ML21287A657). The information presented was intended to enable NRC to get a clear understanding on the proposed revisions to the markings.
NRC Staff Discussion The NRC staff asked clarifying questions and provided comments and feedback to Exelon during the presentation. The NRC staff stated that no regulatory decisions would be made in the meeting. The NRC staff indicated that the NRC staff will review the revised information and when submitted by the licensee. No regulatory decisions were made in the meeting.
Public Comments This was a Non-Public Closed Meeting.
