The following is a broad list of documents the NRC inspectors are interested in reviewing prior to the on-site inspection visit. The current version of these documents is expected unless specified otherwise. Electronic media is preferred for receiving the information, if readily available (preferably MS Word format or searchable.pdf files).

The documents provided in response to this request should contain sufficient information to facilitate the selection of specific inspection samples. The licensee is not required to provide documents that are already available in ADAMS. If there are any questions or concerns regarding the information requested below, please contact the NRC inspection team lead.

IP 88015 - Nuclear Criticality Safety (NCS)

Documents Requested for In-Office Preparation Any new or revised NCS program procedures since the last NCS inspection (if none, please indicate)

1)

List of corrective action program entries or internal events since the last NCS inspection related to NCS issues

2)

Criticality safety evaluations (CSEs) and QRAs for the following systems or processes, as well as any TDs and IRS documents for related NCS IROFS:

Node 407, UO2 Rod Processing; Node 506, GAD Rod Processing.

3)

Any new or revised CSEs since the last NCS inspection

4)

Procedures related to the following:

NCS weekly and internal audits NCS engineer qualification program CSE development

5)

Audit(s) and self-assessment(s) of the NCS program since the last NCS inspection (if any)

6)

Contact information for key personnel expected to support the Nuclear Criticality Safety inspection Documents/Support Requested for On-site Inspection

1)

Results of NCS inspections (i.e., weekly assessments/walkdowns) since the last NRC NCS inspection

2)

Qualification and training records for any NCS staff that have completed an NCS qualification since the last NCS inspection

1) Organization chart for the transportation department
2) Listing the type(s) of package(s) used by the licensee
3) Inspection, operation, and maintenance implementing procedures applicable to the preparation and packaging for the type(s) of package(s)
4) Registration for the type(s) of package(s)
5) Safety Analysis/Evaluation Report(s) for the type(s) of package(s)
6) Drawings for the packages the licensee uses
7) Manifests and records for the last shipments and the type of package used for each shipment
8) List of condition reports for last 12 months (or since last inspection) pertaining to radioactive material (RAM) shipment and transportation activities
9) Any independent audits or assessments of the RAM transportation program (most recent report or QA surveillance)

Documents/Support Requested for On-site Inspection

1) Any 71.95 reports since the last inspection, in progress, or planned for the near future (the next 90 days)
2) Training records for individuals responsible for RAM shipping and transportation
3) Inspection checklist for the last outgoing RAM shipments include contents of the package, to include weight, isotope, and physical form
4) Radiological survey records for the packages for the last shipments as well as the survey records for the delivery vehicle

5) Receipt inspections/surveys for the packages for the last shipments and the delivery vehicle
6) Any transportation activities scheduled for the week of the inspection This letter contains mandatory information collections that are subject to the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (44 U.S.C. 3501 et seq.).
