DEFENSE THREAT REDUCTION AGENCY - REQUESTS FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR PART 70 APPLICATION FOR SPECIAL NUCLEAR MATERIALS LICENSE (ENTERPRISE PROJECT IDENTIFICATION CODE L-2019-NEW-0005)

Dear Mr. Mannis:

By correspondence dated August 21, 2020 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System [ADAMS] Accession No. ML20238B814), you provided an application for a Special Nuclear Materials (SNM) License in accordance with the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, (10 CFR) Part 70, Domestic Licensing of Special Nuclear Materials.

By letter dated September 24, 2020 (ADAMS Accession No. ML20258A275) the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff performed an acceptance review of your submittal and determined the application contained sufficient technical information to conduct a detailed technical review. The NRC staff has identified additional information needed to proceed with the formal review. The additional information, specified in the enclosure, should be provided within 45 days from the date of this letter.

In accordance with 10 CFR Paragraph 2.390 of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records component of NRCs ADAMS. ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room). The enclosure will not be publically available.
