- Gary, The purpose of this message is to communicate the completion of the staffs audit review of the electronic documents loaded to the licensees, Dominion Energy Virginia, e-portal. As we discussed, the NRC staff conducted its remote desk audit as described in the March 5, 2020 audit letter (ADAMS Accession No. ML20058A010), and there were no issues or discrepancies identified. The Surry reference documents included on the portal facilitated the staffs preparation of its RAIs, which were issued to the licensee on May 14, 2020 (ADAMS Accession No. ML20136A010). The staff has determined the information provided in the licensees responses to the RAIs dated June 29, 2020 and August 14, 2020 (ADAMS Accession Nos.
ML20181A422 and ML20231A818, respectively) is responsive to the staffs SE completion/informational needs. A standalone audit summary from the NRC staff will not be issued as closeout to the audit letter; instead, the staffs final safety evaluation (SE) will appropriately capture the results/resolution of the audit and RAI items. The projected issuance of the license amendment and SE is on track for completion by our communicated target date, November 2020.
