Dear Commissioners and Staff:
Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.71 (e), 10 CFR 50.54(a)(3), and 10 CFR 50.4(b)(6), Pacific Gas arid Electric Company (PG&E) hereby submits Diablo Canyon Power Plant (DCPP) "Updated Final Safety Analysis Report" (UFSAR), Revision 25. In Reference 1, PG&E requested an exemption that would allow, on a one-time basis, the routine biennial UFSAR update to be submitted past its original due date, but still within 24 months of the previous submittal. T~e NRC granted the exemption in Reference 2. contains a summary of changes to the UFSAR resulting from 10 CFR 50.59 evaluations. Enclosure 2 provides a list of license amendments that resulted in changes incorporated into Revision 25 of the DCPP UFSAR. contains the DCPP UFSAR, Revision 25, including the drawings listed on UFSAR Table 1.6-1, on one Digital Versatile Disc (DVD), labeled "Diablo Canyon Power Plant UFSAR, Revision 25 (non-redacted), dated June 2020." Added crediting manual operator actions following a design basis tornado and crediting notification of tornado warning/watch as a means of triggering initiation of manual operator actions.
2018-010 Revised the 4.16-kV Switchgear and Cable Spreading Room design basis temperature limit from 104F to 116F and credit natural circulation to maintain the rooms' design basis temperature.
Modified the 4.16-kV Switchgear Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system to no longer normally operate in automatic mode and to maintain the HVAC exhaust fire damper normally closed.
2019-003 Revised safety analysis to describe that the evaluations in Westinghouse Report PGE-10-54 are credited to bound and increase of Emergency Core Cooling System Component Actuation Delay Time.
2018-002 Removed the interlocks associated with stem-mounted Namco limit switches for eight Unit 1 Emergen*cy Core Cooling System valves 2017-019*
