SUBJECT:
ERROR IN SMALL BREAK ANALYSIS OF REACTOR COOLANT SYSTEM This supplements and corrects preliminary information provided in PN0 78-79 dated April 13, 1978.
The B&W reanalysis assumed a pipe break of 0.04 square feet, which is the worst case, in the reactor coolant pump discharge piping.

The original analysis

was for a pipe break of 0.1 square feet which resulted in the RCS being depressurized and water being supplied by the LPI and CF systems.

I Region 11 (Atlanta) received notification of this updated information by telephone from the licensee at 3:00 p.m. on April 13.
