In your letter of March 13, 1986, you requested that the Commission assist your Subcommittee by identifying documents related to the sale of a l
nuclear power reactor to the Philippine government and by making them available for review by your staff.
On March 24, your staff reviewed a collection of NRC staff documents related to this matter and requested copies of those documents of interest to them. These copies were prepared and delivered to your staff on April 9.
The enclosed documents were collected from Conmission files. The documents in Enclosure A are available to the public and therefore require no special handling. The documents in Enclosure B are not available to the public and they have not been reviewed to determine what portions, if any, should be available to the public.
For this reason, we request that you preserve the confidentiality of the documents in Enclosure B and restrict their use to Members of Congress and the staff of the Subcommittee.
