On February 27, 1989, wide range noble gas stack monitor RM-063H was undergoing calibration when detector RE-063H and RM-063H preamplifier were four.d to be I
defective. A replacement detector has been purchased from the manufacturer j
(Victoreen). Victoreen has informed OPFD that the delivery date of the replace-ment detector will be March 28, 1989.
It is planned that RM-063H will be fully operational by May 15, 1989.
Upon receipt of parts for Main Steam Line Monitor RM-064, replacement was completed. The vendor was contacted to verify proper calibration technique because the secondary calibration had only been conducted during an outage in the past.
Results of the conversation indicated that a primary calibration would be required in addition to the secondary calibration. The original primary calibration was performed by-the manufacturer; OPPD has not performed a subsequent primary calibration and consequently did not have a procedure for doing so. The secondary calibration is currently being conducted, concurrent l
with the primary calibration procedure development underway by the Chemistry Department.
It is planned that RM-064 will be fully operational by May 15, 1989.
