Withdrawal of Application for Export of Special Nuclear Material to REnublic of South Africa By letter dated May 10, 1976, General Electric Company and its wholly-owned subsidiary General Electric Technical Services Company, Inc.

(GETSCO) applied for a license to export special nuclear material (enriched uranium) to the Electricity Supp1v Commission of tne Republic of South Africa (ESCOM) for use in the Koeberg nuclear power station to be constructed in the Republic of South Africa.

This application is hereby withdrawn.

This application is being withdrawn because ESCOM has withdrawn the letter of intent previously issued to GETSCO for the fabrication of fuel for the Koeberg station 6nd has reportedly awarded the order for such services to another supplier.
