DOCKET NO. 50-563 NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR AND NUCLEAR REGULATORY FOMMISSION CONSIDER /sTION OF ISSUANCE OF FACILITY EXPORT LICENSE Pienea take notice that Jeneral Electric Company and GETSCO, Inc.

submitted to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission an application for a license to authorize the export of two boiling water reactors each with a power level 965.8 megawatts electrical to the Republic of South Africa and that the issuance of such license is under consideration by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

No license authorizing the proposed reactors' export will be issued until the Nuclear Regulatory Commission determines that such export is within the scope of and consistent with the terms of an applicable agreement for cooperation arranged pursuant to Section 123 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (Act), nor until the Nuclear Regulatory Commission has found that:

(a) The application complies with the requirements of the Act, and the Cocrnission's regulations set forth in 10 CFR, Chapter 1 l and (b) The reactors proposed to be exported are utilization facilities as defined in said Act and regulations.
