APPLICATION FOR EXPORT OF NUCLEAR REACTORS Pursuant to the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, and Section 50.65 of 10CFR Part 50, application'is hereby submitted for a license to export a nuclear power station, K0EBERG, from the United States to the Republic of South Africa.
Detailed information required by 10CFR 50.65 is set forth hereunder:
- 1) Applicant General Electric Company (GE) and its wholly owned subsidiary General Electric Technical Services Operation, Inc., (GETSCO)
- 2) Address of Applicant 175 Curtner Avenue - M/C 871 San Jose, California 95125
- 3) Description of Applicant's Business GE manufactures and sells a variety of products including nuclear reactors and electrical generating distribution and utilization equipment and devices.
GETSCO provides a variety of services including export of GE supplied equipment and erection and startup of nuclear power plants at foreign locations.

- 1) General Description of Nuclear Reactor Two GE forced circulation, single cycle, light water cooled and moderated boiling water reactors each with a design power level of 965.8 MWe. The reactors are to be known as Units 1 and 2, respectively, of the Koeberg Nuclear Power Station and will be located on a site about 30 kilometers north of Capetown in the Cape Province of the Republic of South Africa.
