By letter dated August 16, 1988, Commonwealth Edison Company (CECO) submitted a Technical Specifications (TS) amendment request to revise reporting requirements for fire suppression systems. However, your staff subsequently agreed with the
.c tiRC during a recent meeting that the requested amendment is no longer necessary since it will be superseded in its entirety by an upcoming TS emendment being submitteo in accordance with Generic Letter 88-12.. Consequently, based on our understanding of your intentions, we are considering Ceco's amendment request of August 16, 1988 to be witharawn.
If.this information is not correct, please notify the NRC of your intended actions within 10 days of receipt of this letter.
