Leech Review Branch: EICSB/DPA Review Status: Complete By letter dated November 7,1983, the Boston Edison Company responded to Generic Letter 83-28 with regard to required actions based or generic implications of Salem ATWS events. The enclosed SER and SALP were prepared by the Electrical, Instru-mentation 'and Control Systems Branch of DPA based upon TER input from its con-tractor, Scierce Applications International Corporat9 (SAIC), after having re-viewed the applicable portions of the licensee's.resonese to Generic Letter 83-28 for Pilgrim 5tation. The TER was discussed with the licensee in telephone con- ]

versations between Mr. W. Lobo, the licensee's representative, and Mr. Raj Auluck )

and Mr. Joel Kramer of the NRC on February 12 and 26,1986.

Based on our review, we conclude that the licensee's post-trip review data and information capabilities for Pilgrim Station are acceptable.

This review has been conducted by J. J. Kramer (X28408) and SAIC. There are no known dissenting professional opinions on this matter.
