20555 Re:

Texas Utilities Electric Company, et al.

(Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station, Units 1 and 2), Docket Nos. 50-445-2 and 50-446-2 Your Honors:

I am enclosing appropriately numbered, unmarked copies of those Gacuments, not as yet bound into the transcript, that were introduced by Mr. Davidson in the course of the September 21, 1984 in camera hearing in the above-referenced matter.

The same are submitted, in accordance with the Board's direction, for inclusion in the hearing transcript.

We had hoped to submit these documents early last week, but encountered unavoidable delay in obtaining unmarked copies from the Comanche Peak site.

We trust, however, that'no one has been' inconvenienced.

We have also this day hand served copies of the attached documents on Messrs. Clements, Treby and Roirman.

Respectfully submitted,

3.6 ALARM CIRCUITRY 3.6.1 Inverter l

1.

Loss of output AC is indicated by dropping out relay ACL. One set of normally open - normally

]

closed form C contacts is provided to operate alarms.

{

2.

Overcurrent sensing is provided through use of current sensor ICSR, which has an adjustment

{

range of 30% to 150% of full load.

1CSR in turn operates time delay relay CSRT. CSRT has an adjustable time delay of.3 to 30 seconds. An overload of the magnitude and length of time set on the above relays will trip the output breaker of the inverter and light the overcurrent indicat-ing lamp. After removal of the overload, the sensor may be reset via the overcurrent reset

)

1 pushbutton.

I l

3.6.2 DC Bus

)

1.

High DC voltage is alarmed by the HV relay which will provide an external alarm through a set of normally open - normally closed Form C contacts.

The high voltage relay will also trip the rectifier AC hput breaker which can be reset af ter the input voltage has returned to normal.

2.

Loss of DC input is indicated by relay DCL which will drop out on loss of DC input voltage.

Ex-ter n1 indica'cion is provided through a set of j

normally open - normally closed Form C contacts.

3.6.3 Rectifier 1.

Loss of AC input voltage is alarmed by relay 1ACL.

This relay will drop out upon' loss of AC input.

External indication is provided by one set of normally open - normally closed Form C contacts.
