l Interview with Mr. Michael A. TERPENING, Pullman Higgins -(P-H) NDE Technician'
)
Mr. Michael A. TERPENING P-H Level 2 NDE Technician, was interviewed by Investigator R. A. MATAKAS at Seabrook, NH, on May 24,1983. TERPENING is .l a Level 2 NDE Technician and has worked for P-H at the Seabrook Station 1
since June 1982. J TERPENING corroborated information provided by P-H NDE Technician Mike ]
ACREE (See Attachment (17)) regarding the reinspection-by ACREE of a small !
j' stitch weld in the March - April 1983 time frame which was originally l inspected by PAD"0VANO.
TERPENING said that shortly after he reported to work at Seabrook (before he was certified) he had occasion to work a magnetic particle (MP) examination i with PAD 0VANO. He said that in this inshance, the weld was inaccessible and after noting this fact, PAD 0VANO pointed at the weld and said, " bang-bang" got you, and walked away. TERPENING said he could not recall the weld I designation and he did not' know if. PADOVANO performed an inspection on the weld at a later date. 1 Other than the current investigation. TERPENING said that he was not aware of any other actual or suspected falsification of records nor was he aware l of anyone in P H management or supervision who may have such. information.
