PROPOSED NOTICE OF RULEMAKING - 10 CFR PARTS 170 AND 171
- 100 PERCENT FEE RECOVERY FOR FY 1998 OE has reviewed'the subject paper as requested in your memo of March 17,1998.
OE concurs in the proposed rulemaking subject to the following comment.
In the language of 10 CFR 2.205(i), in line 5 on page 38, suLstitute the following for the text i
beginning "Where specific...":
All payments are to be made in accordance with the specific payment instructions provided with Notices of Violation that propose civil penalties and Orders imposing Civil i
Munetary Penalties.
With this change the regulation provides a concise statement of the options available and the requirement that all payments must comply with detailed instructions to be provided to licensees.
It is properly broad for a regulation and would not require changing whenever changes are made in the procedures.
