Language for 2.205 Leah in an effort to clarify and simplify the language, and address what I think are Jim's concerns, I propose the following to replace all that follows the sentence about government agencies paying by OPAC. By putting in the albinclusive sentence about paying IAW the instructions, I hope to avoid repeating that thought in sentences that speak to specific payment methods.

" Payments of civil penalties of $5,000 or more may be made via ACH through the NRC's Lockbox Bank. Credit card payments may be made up to the limit established by the credit card bank to the Lockbox Bank for credit card payments. All payments are to be made in accordance with the specific payment instructions provided with Notices of Violation that propose civil penalties and Orders imposing Civil Monetary Penalties."

Just wonder what you think of it. Seems to me that the regulation should be as simple and generic as possible, with the gory details - which may change occasionally lef t to the instructions.

Thanks Geoff I
