PETITIONER'S UNOPPOSED MOTION FOR ENLARGEMENT OF TIME AND MODIFICATION TO TIIE BRIEFING SCIIEDULE Pursuant to 10 C.F.R. s 2.711(a). Petitioner. Edwin D. Dienethal. by and through counsel. hereby requests that an enlargement of time and modification to the briefing schedule be granted. A copy of a proposed order is attached for approval.

Because of unforeseen conthets, the Petitioner requests that the current due date of July 22.1998 to file an amended petition for leave to intervene and to file a supplement to the petition to intervene be enlarged to and including July 31,1998. Commonwealth Edison Company does not oppose and the NRC Staff consents to this enlargement of time provided the modification of the briefing schedule would permit and which the Petitioner requests the following revised deadlines:

1. The due date of July 31,1998 for the Commonwealth Edison Company and the NRC 9807220076 ADOCK 900717 PDR Og g5 l

Staff to file a reply to any amended petition be extended to and including August 18.

1998.

2. The due date of August 5.1998 for the Commonwealth Edison Company and the NRC StafT to answer any contentions be extended to and including August 24.1998.

WilEREFORE. Petitioner requests the f.icensing Board's approval of the unopposed motion for enlargement of time and modifications to the brieling schedule.
