REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION CONCERNING SEP TOPIC VII-IA, ISOLATION OF REACTOR PROTECTION SYSTEM FOR NON-SAFETY SYSTEMS - OYSTER CREEK NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION The staff has reviewed the various submittals which described and analyze the electrical isolation between the RPS and the non-safety systems.

Based on our review of this information, we find that additional information is required.

l The information needed by the staff to complete the evaluation is defined in l

the enclosure. You are requested to respond to this request for additional I

information by December 15, 1987 so the staff can complete its review at an early date.

i The staff has reviewed the various submittals which describe and analyze the electrical isolation between the RPS and the non-safety systems. The following additional information is required to continue and complete the review:

(1)

For the isolation amplifier between the nuclear instrumentation j

analog signals and the multiplexer cabinet for the process j

computer, please provide a circuit diagram (s) showing the l

discrete components used. Indicate the Class lE to Non-Class lE interface.

(2)

For the RIO5 IRM/APRM process recorder please provide a circuit diagram and layout drawing which shows the electrical and spatial configuration.

Any information that is proprietary should be so marked and the transmittal l
