l On October 7,1997, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued Generic Letter (GL) 97-04, " Assurance of Net Positive Suction Head for Emergency Core Cotsiing and l
Containment Heat Removal Pumps " to all holders of operating licenses or construction permits.
l, The NRC issued GL 97-04 to confirm the adequacy of the net positive suction head available for F
e(nergency core cooling (including core spray and decay heat removal) and containment heat removal pumps under all design-basis accident scenarios.
In response to GL 97-04, you provided letters dated January 5 and February 11,1998, for the i

information dated May 20,1998, you submitted a letter on June 18,1998. These submittals J

On October 7,1997, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued Generic Letter (GL) 97-04," Assurance of Net Positive Suction Head for Emergency Core Cooling and Containment Heat Removal Pumps," to all holders of operating licenses or construction permits.
