A recent license amendment appointed an individual who . joined the company in March 1988 as Radiation Bafety Officer. The individual who formerly held this position no longer has direct contact with ,
or responsibility for this function. At a recent meeting of the l Board of Directors this name individual resigned as President, but l remains Chairman of the Board. The responsibilities of president l are being shared among three Vice Presidents while a new President l is sought.
On June 23, 1986 the NRC suspended the license again based on l l investigative findings indicating repeated and intentional violations of NBC requirements and the impeding of NRC an i inspection and investigations. The license in presently suspended pending further action of the NRC. South Jersey Process l Technoloay, a subsidiary, has recently begun commercial operation I of a more modern in-air irradiator in Salem, New Jersey. The ;
licensee is attempting to build another irradiator in the Port of ,
Elisabeth, New Jersey. No formal application has been received by I the NRC for this facility.
WASHINGTON HOSPITAL CENTER A Confirmatory Order Modifying License was issued on May 29, 1986.
The Order required that an authorized physician user review avery teletherapy patient chart to confirm that oobalt-80 teletherapy treatment has been requested and that the authorized physician usar consult with the referring physician or the Chief Resident prior to the initial treatment of each teletherapy patient.
