The United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has granted the withdrawal of an application dated May 25, 1984, filed by Georgia Power Company, Oglethorpe Power Corporation, Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia, City of Dalton, Georgia (the licensees).
The application requested amendment to Facility Operating License No.
DPR-57 for operation of the Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant, Unit No.1, located in Appling County, Georgia. The prooosed amendment would have revised the provisions in the Technical Specifications for a one-time extension of the surveillance interval on containment spray testing.
The Comission issued a Notice of Consideration of Issuance of Amendment in the Federal Register on June 4, 1984 (49 FR 23131).
By letter dated June 11,1984, the licensees withdrew.the application for the proposed I
amendment.
The Commission has considered the licensees' June 11, 1984, letter and has determined that pennission to withdraw the May 25, 1984, application for amendment should be granted.
