Gentlemen:
This is in response to your letter TXX-6492 and attachment dated June 12, 1987 i
responding to the comments in our letter of April 10, 1987 on Revision 6 of i
the " Interim Physical Security Plan for Protection of Stored Special Nuclear Material of Low Strategic Significance at Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station."
We have reviewed your responses and find thot they satisfactorily address the 1
concerns in our April 10, 1987 letter.
In that letter we also concluded that j
the changes in Revision 6 of your Plan were acceptable.
Therefore, based on our overall evaluation, we have determined that your Plon meets the requirements of 10 CFR 73.67 for fixed site and in-transit protection of i
special nuclear material of low strategic significance, i
Accordingly your Interim Physical Security Plon, with the modifications in Revision 6 and in the attachment to your letter TXX-6492 of June 12, 1987, is hereby approved.
It is our understanding that you intend to issue Revision 7 of the Plan by July 31, 1987, incorporating the approved modifications.
We have determined that the atta dment to your letter dated June 12, 1987 contains information of a type specified in 10 CFR 2.790(d). Accordingly, I
pursuant to Section 2.790(d)(1), such information is deemed +o be commercial I
or financiol within the meaning of 10 CFR 9.5(a)(4) and shall be subject to disclosure only in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 9.12.
