This
refers
to
the
routine
safety
inspection
by Messrs.
W. Bateman,
J. Wechselberger, and W. Baunack from April 20-23 and May 7 - June 18,1987 at
the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station.
The inspections consisted of
document reviews, interviews and observations of activities as documented in
the enclosed inspection report. The findings were discussed with you and other
members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Apparent violations of NRC requirements are cited in Appendix A and categorized

under the General Statement of Policy and Procedure for NRC Enforcement

Actions, 10 CFR Part 2,
Appendix C (Enforcement Policy 1986).
A reply is
required and should be prepared in accordance with Appendix A.
We acknowledge receipt of your June 1,1987 and June 9,1987 responses to the
Violations cited in Inspection Reports 87-08 and 86-38, respectively.
Your
corrective actions to address the violation in Inspection Report 87-08 will be
verified in a subsequent NRC inspection.
Your response to the violation in
Inspection Report 86-38 is under evaluation and will be responded to in future
correspondence.
Your cooperation with us in these matters is appreciated.
