August 11, 1986 IDENTICAL LETTERS SENT TO ADDRESSEES ON ATTACHED LIST.
==Dear
- ==
SUBJECT:
1986 COMBINED FEDERAL CAMPAIGN For the 1986 Combined Federal Campaign in Tarrant County, I have been designated the Section Chairman responsible for a portion of the esmpaign.
Your organization, the (AGENCY), is included in that section.
I I had hoped to visit every agency head to urge their personal involvement in their local campaign to assure that all their employees were fully aware of the opportunity to participate in CFC.
I am unable to achieve that goal of personal visits, but I felt a personal letter from me might help to serve the i
same purpose. I believe that a successful Combined Federal Campaign is l
i achieved when each Federal employee has a good understanding of the services
]
l provided by, and the needs of, the various agencies which are authorized to be l
represented in the campaign. Moreover, success is enhanced when each employee I
has a similar understanding of the options which are available to them to l
designate funds to service organizations of their choosing. Without question, much misinformation has evolved over time about fund raising campaigns.
I believe leadership from the head of an organization can go a long way in i
I assuring that employees are provided sufficient information to make an intelligent choice. Given those kinds of circumstances, I am confident that Federal employees will continue to show themselves to be generous and members of the community who are willing and interested in supporting service organizations that have human service goals consistent with their own.
I ask you to personally involve yourself once again this year in providing that l
leadership to assure a knowledgeable Federal community. Again, I thank you for l
your help and, if I can assist further in any way, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
/ ORIGINAL LETTER SIGNED BY ROBERT D. MARTIN /
