l On July 9, 1984, Mr. H. B. Ray met with Mr. A. D'Angelo, San Onofre l

Nuclear Generating Station, (SONGS; NRC Resident inspector, to inform him of en allegation concerning use of cocaine on-site.

Subsequently, Mr. D.

Schaeffer, of your Headquarters, was informed of the allegation and re-i quested that a written report of our findings be submitted. The purpose of this letter is to forward the requested report, was terminated on as a result of threatening craft personnel against reporting for work in the face of a reduction in rates under the revised GPMA.

In the course of completing the routine Bechtel Power Corporation (BPC) exit form, he alleged knowledge of cocaine use on-site. Subsequently, was Inter-viewed by an SCE Corperate Security Agent. During the interview, did not allege first-hand knowledge of drug use on-site, but he said he knew another BPC employee who was aware of such use, allegation was Investigated by BPC. The report of that investigation is attached.

hearsay statement, the allegation of cocaine use on-site cannot be confirmed.
