l By letter dated June 2,1987, Alabama Power Company submitted.a proposed technical specification change that would increase the steam generator tube
. plugging limit to 10 percent. Several questions were raised by the NRC
.concerning this license amendment request and were subsequently addressed by Alabama Power. Company letters ~ dated August 18 and September 16, 1987.
In i
the September 16 letter, Alabama Power Company made reference to an l
evaluation performed by Westinghouse for plant Almaraz Units 1 and 2 in l
which Westinghouse stated that no effect would be expected in the small break.LOCA analysis for certain plugging levels. The NRC requested in l
subsequent conversations that this report be made available to them. The i
evaluation WENX-86-12, March 1986 entitled, "An Evaluation of Up to 10%
l Steam Generator Tube Plugging on CN Almaraz Units 1 and 2,"
has been i
provided.to the NRC by Westinghouse letter dated September 22, 1987.
