A routine safety inspection of your annual emergency preparedness exercise
was conducted by Mr. C. Amato and other inspectors of this office, and other
members of an NRC team, on May 11-14, 1987 at the Oyster Creek Nuclear Gener-
ating Station, Forked River, New Jersey.
Discussions of our findings were
presented by Mr. Amato to your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection included observation of the annual
exercise and foiiow-up of findings identified during previous emergency pre-
paredness inspections and exercises as described in the NRC Region I inspection
report which is enclosed with this letter.
Within these areas, the inspection
consisted of selective examination of procedures and representative records,
interviews with personnel and observation of the emergency exercise by team
members.
