ACCEPTANCE REVIEW 0F THE UMS UNIVERSAL TRANSPORT CASK-APPLICATION (TAC NO. L22452)

Dear Mr. Thompson:
By letter dated April 30, 1997, NAC International, Inc. (NAC), submitted an application to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in accordance with 10 CFR Part 71 for the review and approval of the UMS Universal Transport Cask.
This is to inform you that the application contained the necessary information to 1
begin our review. We have docketed the application under 10 CFR Part.71. with the assigned Docket No. 71-9270.
Your application included pro accordance with 10 CFR 2.790.prietary information with an affidavit in Until a determination of your re withholding proprietary information under 10 CFR 2.790 is made, quest for the information designated as pro 3rietary related to the UMS Universal Transport Cask wi'l be withheld from pu)lic disclosure.
This will be the subject of separate correspondence.
Your application also included several drawings which, based on my discussions with you.-were inadvertently labeled as pr prietary and were not included in the affidavit.
Please submit the correctl labeled drawings within 30 days of the date of this letter.
You are hereby advised that any subsequent issue that you identify that could affect the application must be submitted to the staff for review and approval as a supplement to the application.
