Virginia' Electric and Power Company submits the enclosed report entitled "Surry Unit 2 Reactor Trip and Feedwater Pipe Failiare." This report provides detailed informa* ion on the December 9, 1986 incident, our recovery plan and corrective actions for your review and concurrence prior to staticn restart.
We anticipate two revisions of this report which will be issued when the final results of both units piping inspection and replacement programs are completed and when the independent laboratory analyses are concluded.
