Inspection Nos. 50-220/86-22; and 50-410/86-58
A routine safety inspection of your annual emergency preparedness exercise was
conducted by Mr. Hawxhurst of this office and other members of an NRC team on
October 29, 1986 at the Nine Mile Point Site, New York. Discussions of our
findings were held by Mr. Hawxhurst with your staff at the conclusion of the
inspection.
The areas examined during this inspection were limited to observation of your
.
Emergency Exercise conducted on October 29, 1986. Our findings are described
in the NRC Region I Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter.
Based on these observations your performance during this exercise demonstrated
the ability to implement your Emergency Plan in a manner which would provide
adequate protection of the health and safety of the public.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were identified and no
response to this letter is necessary.
Your cooperation with us in this matter is appreciated.
